I realize it's only a team camp, but how did both Covcath and Holmes look? I noticed several new faces for each team in your pictures.

I realize it's only a team camp, but how did both Covcath and Holmes look? I noticed several new faces for each team in your pictures.

 

 

Both teams rolled all the players into the game. Neither team was shooting particularly well, CCH coach pretty intense but all and all it was just a scrimmage.

 

 

CCH had several Baseball players on the bench but not dressed to play. If I am reading the CCH coach it is going to be all about effort with a take no prisioners attitude. You don't hustle you don't play. No let up on Bethel Tate even though it was very lopsided. Didn't press but continued to play hard D and push the ball to the basket. You win with Defense and make smart decisions on offense. Lot's of motion offense especially for this time of year. Solid cuts and nice passes. The offense clearly was in the hands of Fredericks. He and the young man in the second pic played the most minutes, whoever he is. Fredericks penetrated well and layed in a few nice drives but didn't shoot all that well, that won't be a problem in mid season. Murphy kid looked good. Couple of kids with nice mid range jump shots. Bit of a struggle on the boards.

 

Holmes looked more like a free for all. People who shouldn't shoot were throwing it up but I really have very little familiarity with their team. Several players including Rice looked good with one in particular shooting the ball well. Princeton was a fastbreaking team which made it pretty much of a track meet. Both Princeton and Holmes showed lots of ball to the rim type basketball with the all too frequent long range bombs inbetween the nice drives.

 

Now, having said that remember I take pictures....I see a very small part of a game when the camera is up to my eye.

What are the dates and times of the NKU camps?

 

I know these are the times of when Highlands plays tomorrow at BOK Arena actually.

 

1pm Highlands vs Mariemont

2pm Highlands vs Bellevue

 

No Srs showed for Highlands tonight in their 3 games vs Oak Hills, Lakota West and Loveland. All sophs/Jrs' and they played pretty well against the bigger Ohio schools.
