I did not know that Bud's first name is Allan.

#1 pick had a 6-8 record this season at UCLA.

I got my eye on Bubba Starling, he should go within the top 10 picks somewhere and he is signed on to play football and Baseball at Nebraska. Hoping Boras holds out and sends him to college so he can play QB for my cornhuskers. Everybody thinks he will or should take the big money and play baseball but his family would like him to go to NU and I think he really wants to as well, but he sure has a big decision to make.

Darin Erstad, everyone loves the hire from what I know. He went from volunteer coach this season to head coach.

And Bubba goes #5 to his hometown KC Royals. That might make it tougher for him to say no to baseball but who knows maybe he isnt a big royals fan.

How about OK having the top 2 high school pitchers?

The second one signed to play QB at OU they said.

Word is that he said in March that it would be tough to go to NU if KC drafted him.

How many first round picks out of high school go to a high school that doesnt have a baseball team? One just got drafted.

UK Pitcher Alex Meyer was selected by the Nats in Round 1. Kid has signed with U Washington.

Reds with the 27th pick select Robert Stephenson RHP high school kid from California 6'2 190lbs.

While the college arms are getting the bulk of the attention in this year's class, there are a number of high-octane high schoolers generating first-round buzz, as well. Perhaps a half-step behind the elite prepsters is Stephenson, who has drawn some comparisons to Matt Garza. Stephenson has plenty of arm strength, with a fastball that has touched 97 mph. The NoCal produc, who has a commitment to the University of Washington, also has shown a curve that is a plus at times, though it's been inconsistent. He has a changeup, but like with many high school pitchers, it's a little behind his other pitches.
