Not sure how I feel about some of the killstreaks cause I haven't played the other CoD multiplayer games. For those of you who are veterans of the series, what do you think?

Also, here is a YouTube video of an analysis of the leaked information.

Video won't work for me and can't look at the link from work.:irked:

No worries man. Below is the exact information from the link...just copying and pasting the text:

Anonymous sources have been speaking to Kotaku as of late about Modern Warfare 3 details, and the latest batch of potential leaks involves the game's multiplayer. Here's what the source reports:

  • Multiplayer is divided between Spec Ops missions and standard multiplayer
  • No zombie modes will be included
  • Spec Ops features both the standard mission-based maps as well as a "horde-like mode."
  • Standard multiplayer will feature 20 maps
  • Team perks will be introduced, including Stopping Power, Blast Shield, Health Regen, and Stun Protection

New individual perks include:

  • Blind Eye - Immune to killstreaks. Pro version speeds up lock-on and gives you extra bullet damage to vehicles.
  • Assassin - Immune to UAV, thermal, and heartbeat sensors.
  • Point Guard - Every two assists count as a point towards your killstreak.
  • Dead Silence - Your character makes no noise.
  • Recon - details unknown.

New killstreaks include:

  • EMP Grenade - takes out all electronics in an area
  • Littlebird - A remote-controlled miniature helicopter
  • Precision Airstrike - Calls in an airstrike on a specific area
  • Stealth Bomber - A B2 Spirit swoops in and carpet bombs in a line
  • Remote Turret - A turret that can be controlled remotely by the player
  • Directional UAV - A UAV that can scan designated areas
  • Remote Mortar - Direct a mortar team via a top-down camera
  • Airdrop Trap - A booby-trapped airdrop
  • Ammo Resupply - Airdrop that supplies ammunition
  • Escort Airdrop - Protected airdrop
  • Specialist Strike Package - Unknown

It sounds like the Tactical Nuke has been dropped from MW3. Also, the report states that the game will lack dedicated servers. Whether or not all of this info is accurate is debatable, but Kotaku claims they've been correct with all of their previous reports.

Again, I'm a noob, but will this theoretically take the place of Black Ops?

Which one, statman's announcement or mine? Statman's, yes, it's the next version. Elite, no, it's going to be a social gaming network.

Glad to see they boldly stepped into 2004 and set up what Bungie has given Halo fans for years. Oh, and Bungie does it for free.

I like this service, really, because a lot of that fascinates me, but this is why I've always given Bungie and Halo more credit. They just seem like they're always behind in innovation and challenge.

It'll only take its place if you allow it to. There are many, many people that have refused to stop playing COD4 (the original Modern Warfare). There's even sad souls who still love World at War the most.

I liked WAW until the hackers got ahold of it.

There's another gaming site that I just heard about, but haven't had a chance to take a look at it.... Hupit Gaming. I guess you can setup some parameters and search for players who have similar gameplay style as you. You can also link up with different teams to try some MLG type matches.

I'm strongly considering skipping this one. I'm burned out on the lack of innovation we see from having a new edition come out every year, and I don't trust the new Infinity Ward.

I'm on par with you here. Talked to all my friends and tbh dont know if it is really gonna be worth it. Since CoD4 it has just gone downhill. The games just dont appeal to me like they once did.

Go over to the friend's section on the main screen when you first log in.

Then scroll up until you see "add a friend"

Click on that and then click on OK.

Next type in the EXACT name...mine is statmanhensley...if you don't use the exact spelling it won't work.

When the name is entered, click send and if it was don't correctly, all you have to do then would be wait on the person to accept the request.
