I haven't really looked through the list that much but I fully plan on grabbing a copy of the Justin Townes Earle release at the very least. Should I try to reserve a copy at Ear-X-Tacy? Or do they even allow that on Record Store Day?

Not really. They'll just be priced like other records generally are. LPs are probably in the $15-30 range and 45s will probably be $6 or so.

Thanks man. I'm going to probably swing by Ear-X-Tacy one day this week to pick up Jason Isbell's new album. I'll see if they can tell me what all they will be getting.

Apparently My Morning Jacket will be at CD Central in Lexington signing autographs and such. CD Central is also one of only two places that will have the advance single for their new album. I would assume ear X-tacy is the other, but I couldn't find any indication that was the case.

I really want to get the GBV tribute, the Damien Jurado album, and the Built To Spill, Nirvana & Fleet Foxes records.I'm kind of interested in the Ryan Adams EP and the Foo Fighters cover album, but I'll have to see about those. I've actually got an original release of the Mississippi John Hurt album, and I have all of the Flaming Lips LP's minus Transmissions From The Satellite Heart.

 

I ordered the new Jason Isbell album direct from his website a couple weeks back in a gift package kind of dealio. Came with a t-shirt, LP autographed by Jason, 12" lithograph print of the cover art by Browan, and a free 7" record of the song they contributed to the GBV tribute album along with another never-released track. I couldn't pass on it, and I'm really hoping it mailed out early so it'll be waiting at my house when I get home from work tonight.

They're doing the picture disc thing with "Z," "It Still Moves" and "Evil Urges." I don't really mess with the picture discs in my collecting. The only ones I have are ones I got as freebies/promos, etc.

That's a good idea. Not a 100% positive I can make it to that show. But I think I may attempt to wait it out to see if I can.
