Shuffling The Deck With the Referees

Featured Replies

With the KHSAA making the decision to shuffle officials from region to region this year, does anyone have any word on who will be where starting tomorrow night? Not only which region is is going where, but which individual officials are on call. Since there is a lot of uncertainty and much riding on it, I just wondered.

I figured it would be good to meniton it prior to contests beginning -- before the sour grapes come due for harvest. As I recall, the 8th region had "outside officials" last year, and that was pleasing  to some and horrific :madman: to others - if I remember correctly.

The 8th is going to the 9th, the 9th is going to the 10th and I believe the 7th is going to the 8th.

I don't think it's the KHSAA who makes this call. I was told it's up to each region to decide if they want to do this.

Not this year. It was mandated by the folks at the KHSAA.

I'm not sure it has been made public as to which particular referees will be representing their regions, but I would think the host site managers will know who is calling where and then the coaches/administration for the teams in each respective games will as well. , however, will know which ones are calling in the 9th Region games each day when I go to The Bank of Kentucky Center...lol...the reason being is that I will be the PA announcer and will have to have that information once I arrive on site...lol.
