So they just draw by teams and not by districts? I thought the draw was like the 45th teams would play the 48th teams and the 46th would play the 47th. Guess I was wrong in that thinking.

The top four district winners pick in alphabetical order to set the brackets. Then the four district losers pick. District champ and runner-ups must be on opposite ends of the bracket.

Okay. I guess I was confused because it seemed to work out that way last year.

I'd had a previous thread about the ideal draw for Mercer Co, and it looks like lots of that came to fruition.

I thought about you when I saw the draw.

Pulaski and Wayne got the toughtest draw in the 12th Regional Tourney, for the 1st round.

Then will have to play each other if the win 1`st round game. That is a tough Road.

Wayne County did it to themselves and either way it goes they would have played Mercer or Pulaski in round 2.

This is true but I'll guess that Rodney would tell you there are better Draws than he got. Got to win 1st round to get to 2nd. Usually in the 2nd round there are no easy plays.

Still haven't gotten to see anyone from the region play a full game, so I'd still give the edge to Pulaski and Wayne based on their entire body of work, but Mercer's road definitely looks better as they likely have to only play one game at or above their heads while sitting back and watching Pulaski vs. East Jess with the winner likely taking on Wayne.

I've seen it done that way and also by numerical order starting with the host district then proceeding to the next in line.
