Congrats to GRC another tough win. Missed it and the broadcast, do you played tough. Very proud of you all!

Very hard fought game and a good win. GRC revenged one of the their in state losses. Robbie Stenzel did not score much but he was a warrior. The play of the game came late in the game when he outhustled a HC player across mid court to get a loose ball and then while on the ground passed to Daniels. He wanted the ball more than anyone on the court and went out and got it.

I have company tonight, so I got part of what the announcers was saying on that. Great hustle by Robbie.

 

GRC JV lost tonight 34-26. This is only the 3rd loss for GRC's JV team this year.

Gotta get out of the 10th first!! Mason Co is always a tough out, especially at home. I believe that GRC can win the region and state, but gotta concentrate on the next game.

GRC the favorite....Disagree. Are we a top 3 team, yes. I would think if Ballard or Eastern goes out of the 7th they would be the favorite. Upper bracket is brutal in the State tourney draw, but believe the state title will be won by one of these teams.

 

GRC has had a great season only losing to two in-state schools, with one of the strongest schedules.

Cards get revenge on Henry Clay to end regular season

George Rogers Clark is headed to the postseason on a high note. Clark was victorious for the 15th time in the past 16 games and lost just once — a 71-57 setback to Louisville Ballard last week — since returning from Christmas break. The Cards (24-5) will take on Paris at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the opening round of the 40th District Tournament at the MCHS Arena in Mount Sterling.

 

Trailing 38-35 midway through the third frame, Clark scored eight of the last 10 points of the quarter and turned the three-point deficit into a 43-40 advantage following Vinny Zollo’s bucket at the buzzer.

The Cards put the game away with a 9-0 run in the final frame that pushed the margin to 55-45 with four minutes remaining. Henry Clay pulled to within seven twice down the stretch, but couldn’t get any closer.
