Haven't seen Gallatin's girls this year. Can they squeeze their way out of the 31st to play on their home court at region time?

Hard to predict at this point. Brooke Hill returned to action last night after missing seven games due to injury. Three of top eight still out due to injury. Gallatin 1-2 in District play right now with one win at Carroll in OTand two losses to Owen County, all w/o Brooke Hill . Owen County is the class of the 31st, with Gayhart playing the best I've seen her play. Haven't seen or played Henry County yet and play Carroll on Saturday at GC. Point being, need to stay away from the # 4 seed spot to avoid playing Owen County. Hopefully, the Cats can squeeze into the 8th Region tourament for the 1st time since 2000. Gallatin's last regional tournament win was in 1997 when Gallatin defeated South Oldham in OT in the finals to make their only Sweet 16 appearence when Coach Holly Roberts Howell was a player.

Good win for Gallatin. Congrats! What's wrong with Grant County? They have some talent and IMO should be doing better.

Agreed, Grant has plenty of physical talent to be more competitive than what they are. I am of the opinion that they have not had much "quality" gym time before the 9th grade. Good luck to Coach Guffey in turning around the "loser" mentality that has permeated the Grant County girls program for so long.

Gallatin's girls did a good job of pressuring the ball, both in the half court, and when they picked it up full court. Grant never really looked comfortable in their offense all night long. Congrats should be passed along to Hignite, H. Dossett, B. Dosset and Morris for their part in that. Davis looked good down in the paint, and when they pulled her further out as well. And Hill had a decent night all things considered.

Seemed like once Gallatin built up a lead and Grant tried to make a run, the Lady Wildcats always snuffed it out. They didn't rush anything, and seemed to always make the extra pass. If they keep progressing this way, and get everybody healthy, this would not be a team that many would want to play come tournament time.
