CK, how do they fund this type of trip? It has to be expensive.

Fundraisers. The girls worked very hard selling spirit wear and program ads. Coach Oliverio has really pushed this since taking over the program and the girls and supporters have responded.

Ryle lost to one of the best teams in the State of Pennsylvania and beat the #5 and the #13 teams in the State of Florida. A very nice showing after a nice showing last week in Lexington at the Republic Bank Classic. They are getting battle tested and getting ready for District play. Very proud and happy for these young ladies.

No matter how athletic she is, it must be a looming proposition to play against a 6'8" female. I'd like to see her block shot numbers.

Per the various rosters I found on-line (HS and AAU), Kai James (pictured above) is listed at 6-4 and a sophomore. From the MaxPreps site for Dwyer she is listed with 4.0 blocks per game through ten games. Also 10.4 PPG and 17.3 RPG. Dwyer is currently ranked No. 28 in Florida in the MaxPreps rankings.

The latest Florida poll before the start of the tournament had them 13th with a 13-1 record entering the tournament.
