letabrotherspeak
Lafayette not that strong this year? This is their 9th loss in 11 games. Ouch.
nikeman49
Two starters have for some unknown reason been coming off the bench.....can't win with those guys not playing full time......they didn't start the beginning of the second half and Newport Central Catholic went on a 10-0 run...Lafayette was never in the game after that... EZ Living
Two starters have for some unknown reason been coming off the bench.....can't win with those guys not playing full time......they didn't start the beginning of the second half and Newport Central Catholic went on a 10-0 run...Lafayette was never in the game after that... Don't know if it is a lesson or that the coach is trying to lock down 2 promising freshmen, but the Lafayette coach started 3 freshmen and 2 sophomores on Tuesday versus Cooper and last night 2 freshmen, 2 sophomores and a senior versus NCC. The little guard for Lafayette, "snoop" Johnson is a very nice looking player and the freshman big man, Jackson Davis, shows a lot of promise @ 6'7". He runs the floor well and is not afraid to launch the 3. It will be interesting to see how this team progresses and if the coach can keep everyone at Lafayette over the years. EZ Living
NCC is still trying to get their basketball legs under them especially Geisler. I don't think that they are ready to face the speed of Holmes yet so tonight's game may be a slowdown affair at least on one end. I'm sure they will try to force the ball down low to geisler but I have to think he will be pretty tired after playing a lot of minutes on Tuesday. He is a battler but clearly is not in basketball shape yet. Imo the NCC guards will have trouble with Holmes tonight.
nikeman49
Two seniors need to start and play entire game.....Coldiron is punishing two senior kids that have started since they were sophomores....lesson needs to be directed at the head coach...play your seniors as you should and stop playing 10 or 12 players, the seniors deserve that opportunity!! Davis will get his due later, he hasn't proven anything yet this year but turnovers and obvious youth!!
