Just got in from the game. Daniels was a dunking machine tonight.I know he had at least 6. Robbie Stenzel had alot of assists, I will try and find out how many tomorrow, his passes were awsome. GRC's strength inside was too much for the Indians.

Hawkins for Madison Central is a very nice player for just a sophomore.

Overall GRC had many bright spots, but 3 point shots didn't look very good. Passing from both teams looked good. Lot's of players in double figures.

Hawkins was very impressive for Madison Central. His 3 pointers were amazing. Very nice form and hustle.

Student sections were boisterous and good natured during the game.

Zollo given game ball before the game for his 1,000 points he made last year in the post season.

Clark rolls, as expected.

Corey Rogers, a 6-foot-4 senior center, shot 11-for-13 from the field and scored 23 points, and No. 3 Clark County (2-0) routed visiting Madison Central 72-48. Robbie Stenzel added 19 points for the Cardinals, Jaylen Daniel scored 14, and Vinny Zollo had 10 points and 12 rebounds. Daniel, a 6-7 senior guard, scored all his points on dunks.

Zollo was huge on the rebounds and started the majority of the fastbreaks for GRC. The majority of GRC's points came from transitional baskets.

GRC will hand out alot of these beatdowns this year. I would say a team like Central will give it back to them next year considering how young they are.

I think Central is a little overrated this year. Hoop you are right, next year they should be very impressive.

Madison Central’s student section tried to rattle George Rogers Clark by wearing Mason County T-shirts in the Cardinals’ home opener Tuesday night at Norton Gymnasium. Once we started missing (shots), they started scoring in transition,” Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus said. “Their big guys just took over, we can’t match up with them. They only missed six shots in the second half. A lot of them were layups and a lot of them were dunks.

Rogers led all scorers with 23 points and missed just two field goals on 13 attempts from the field.

Stenzel paced the Cardinals with nine points in the opening half, followed by Vinny Zollo with eight. Stenzel finished with 19 points, drained all three of Clark’s shots from long range, dished out six assists and collected four steals.

Zollo scored the team’s first four points of the contest and finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Daniel rounded out four players in double figures with 14 points and seven jams.

Me too. That will be an awesome tournament - I am jealous. Gold Sunrise will be there live. The rest of us will have to watch from sunny (but freezing) KY

Yes I have my reservation made and tickets ordered. I am so excited about getting to go. LOTS of talent in the tourney. I am compiling a notebook of all the top players and will be sure to watch them play. I bought the tickets that lets you watch all the games all day long...can come and go and come back.

I have been told that GRC's first game is on the net, as is all first games. After that only the winners bracket games will be on line. You all better hope we pull a huge upset against the Boys and Girls team if you want to watch our second game online....:thumb:

There was a very good crowd there last night, as I expected.
