RICHMOND — Isaac Smith was a little surprised when a member of the Bradley University baseball coaching staff approached him after he participated in the White Sox’s Area Code tryout earlier this year in Chicago.

 

He was even more surprised when those same coaches showed up to watch him play in two other high-profile events later that summer

Congratulations to Isaac and his entire family. He's such a gifted athlete and even better person.

He is the 5th player to sign Division 1 baseball off his Mustangs 17U summer team. Isaac Smith (Bradley), Jacob Bodner (Xavier) Taylor Sears (Morehead State) Clay Cinnamon and Matthew Honchell (Miami of Ohio)

I know Isaac and his family very well. This is a great kid who is a hard worker and has one of the most serious attitudes I have ever seen in my life. Bradley is getting a fine young man.
