Shawnee is a 3A school. Should not have a problem getting enough kids to play football!

 

There are 23 players listed on their roster on the KHSAA site -- 11 are freshmen. Have they had kids quit? Or a bunch of injuries?

If 11 are froshman and you throw in a few injuries that could easily put things in an awfully bad state.

Add to that the pummeling they have been taking.

I'm not sure but Shawnee may have become more of a non-traditional type high school so the student population numbers that have them in class 3a may be misleading when it comes to potential student athletes.

I don't know anything about HS sports contracts, but would this get them out of it?

Well If they had 11 I think they should play, talk to the other coach to keep it classy and stuff. But teach the kids that we play the game for the competition.

I don't anything about any of these 4 teams, but wouldn't #1 seed want to play this bad team at won. They could plan ahead, plus a home gate?
