Congrats to the Lady Cru and their huge win over the Bluebirds! This is a very good team that could, if playing their best, bring the State Title back to Erlanger.

It would be very nice to have a 3rd state champion from NKY.

St Henry played a very nice game tonight. They scored their first goal midway through the first half when Janszen received a nice touch pass that split the HHS defense and she directed the ball to the right corner of the net. HHS had a few good chances in both halves, just couldn't get one by the keeper. With about 18 minutes left, HHS pushed a central defender forward to try to even the score. St Henry defense responded and kept the Birds at bay. The Lady Cru got their second goal with about 10 to play on a nice cross and finish. Down 2 goals with less than 5 to play, the Birds were caught completely out of position trying to create offense, and the Crusaders got a break away and finished the scoring.

Great run in the post-season for the Lady Birds. The game was better than the final score indicates.

Good luck to the Lady Cru, 2 more for a championship.

Very good match. The Crusaders scored early, about 9 minutes in, and had some good keeper play and just a little luck when they needed it to keep the Lady Birds off the score board in the first half. Highlands had several stretches in both halves where they were threatening repeatedly but could not convert. Fairly early in the 2nd half, the Crusaders began to dominate possession and were eventually able to convert late after several near misses. Good luck to St. Henry as they move on to Georgetown!
