Also in small towns, the game might be the biggest thing going. Here in Lexington there is a lot more to get into.

 

 

There is even more to get into in Louisville, but interest stays pretty high here at a good number of programs.

I'm not sure your statements are wholly accurate. Lexington, perhaps...but go down to Boyle County, or Danville, or some other Central KY schools, and you'll see plenty of fans in the seats...

 

Agree, come to Clark Co. We had lost 3 in a row and still the stands were filled.

 

Come for basketball this year and it will be standing room only.

I went to a second-round playoff game at Henry Clay about five years ago -- the Devils had Chase Minnefield and Aaron Boyd on what was a pretty good team that got to the state SFs -- and there was only a few hundred people in the stands. And that was supposed to have been the grand opening for the newly renovated FB stadium. Games I've been to where a FCPS team was the road team might result in crowds that could be counted on fingers and toes.
