Rockcastle County 43 McCreary Central 6

Featured Replies

Final Score.

Rockcastle went up 22-6 at the end of first quarter and took the same score in at halftime after trying a few different looks during the second quarter. Went back to work in the third quarter and JVed most of the fourth. McCreary had some big guys on their front line and the Goins kid was pretty good, but, Rockcastle never looked back after taking the lead in the first after falling behind 6-0 at the start of the game.

McCreary looked good on 1st drive, after that all Rock. Conj: to Coach Parkey and the Rock Team. Have fun in the Play-Offs as we set home.

I talked to one of the officials from this game on Friday. He said that the crew had to flag the McCreary quarterback for unsportsmanlike conduct for loudly cursing his own coach during the game. Has this year's staff lost control of the team?

Maybe one of the McCreary Central guys( House of Pain, Cellking etc, Banker of the South) can fill us in on this. Lots of talk in Whitley City....

There was an unsportsmanlike penalty called because of bad language but it was on a player who was mad at himself because he messed up and let some inapproprite languge come out of his mouth but it was directed at himself and I guess he said it a little to loud for the official to overlook! I am not saying officials should overlook foul language but we all know they do. Anyway, there wasn't any player that cursed at a coach, I wasn't 100% sure so I made some inquiries to be positive. I was just finding that hard to believe because the kids respect Coach Smith and the coaching staff and I have always observed nothing but total control of the football team by Coach Smith and his staff. I hope this answers any questions anyone has.

HOP, is right it was a player that was disgusted with his play and his language was not directed at any other player or Coach. I know the Principal at McCreary Central would not let this happen and not take action.

HOP is it true that maybe some or one of the staff that was there last year is thinking about returning to try to get the ship righted in Whitley City?

To answer the question. IMO Coach Smith will be there as long as he wants to Coach. I don't see any of the Old Staff Coming back at this moment in time. Never say Never, in this Business strange things happen all the time.

Not that I am hearing but In my opinion the current staff is more than capable of getting things straightened out and I would say next year will be a good year for McCreary. Go Get'em Raiders!
