This game was played on Wednesday Sept 23rd and I had to leave at around the 3 minute mark of the third quarter due to a prior obligation. Quarters were only 8 minutes long.

 

CovCath started and played their second and third team other than for three plays late in the third quarter but take nothing away from the Lloyd Frosh they played very, very well.

 

Warren and Miller of Lloyd will be stars one day and both young men impressed me a ton. Lloyd had two just huge lineman that quite honestly made me think no way were these kids frosh (BTW I am not at all saying they weren't frosh) but they were huge in both height, weight and they both were mobile. Congrats to this young Lloyd team for playing so well today.

I thought so too until I hear TOG's rundown. Nice to see other kids get a chance to play.

Great job by CCH coaching staff getting other player's a chance to see some action!

I believe Bir and Pope only came in for a handful of plays (when Lloyd would score). Other than those exceptions, the first team was out the whole game and 2nd and 3rd strings did an admirable job. I would think a lot of these players would be starters on most other teams. The freshman Colonel team is deep at many positions. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Coach Conner did a great job, I believe you may see more B-games in the future if he can fine some schools to play.

This was such a great idea, getting some of the other kids more real game playing time will only make them better players.

CovCath has a couple of 6'-3", 6'-5" 275 lbs lineman who have never played before, and getting them playing time will pay big time in the future.
