This is one area that I think will need to be visited. As more and more gyms are being rebuilt/renovated, more and more backboards are being suspended from the ceilings of gyms by a single attachment that allows the backboard to twist from side to side. There have been a few (just a few) instances where I felt the defensive player hitting the backboard has caused a layup to roll off the rim.

I will be more than glad to show you. Run in slap the backboard. It doesn't take much to make a difference in the ball going in the basket or rolling off the rim. The gyms that have the supports that come down on both sides of the backboard do not have that much movement, but the backboards that have the single pole that attaches to the backboard behind the rim twist.

Clyde, really enjyed your post on the rules. Help me out with your take on the " Hand check violation and also the charge or block call made on a defensive player stand directly underneath the basket waiting for contact made by an offensive player driving to the Basket.

What about the coaches not staying in the box. It seems like that's never called a technical.
