Also, Megan Wilshire has to be the 2nd best junior golfer in the state. Won Ky Jr Amateur when Emma didn't play in it. Finished 2nd last year at state after Emma was DQ'd and the winner graduated. FInished 2nd this year to Emma.

I was reading in the Princeton paper where they gave Emma the key to the city. Kind of corny, but well deserved I guess.

Green County made it back-to-back state champs on the girls' side.

No doubt about that. She will be successful in whatever she decides to do.

Hunter Stewart stood strong. He came in leading the all state points and runner up in 09. HUnter also played in the last group on the golf course. Now that is pressure. The Freshman from West Jessamine had a great tourney and a great year. He played in the last group with Hunter and held up quite well. Say what you will but playing in the last two groups on the final day is the real deal and comes with the crowd and pressure. Tournament golf is all in how you handle pressure. Playing 7 or 8 groups ahead of the final group sure takes the pressure OFF! Do you agree?

I agree that playing in the last group is where the pressure is. I was told that the last group found out that the ultimate winner had gone out with a 31 when they were on the 10th hole. I think that added to the pressure on the last group. The freshman from West Jess started pressing a bit at that point. Stewart obviously stood strong.

Emma Talley is the real deal, heard she may be heading to the Leadbetter Academy at the IMG in Bradenton. Any truth in that?

I've heard that for the past 2 winters. I really think her parents want her to finish up at Caldwell Co., so it would surprise me if she went to Leadbetter's.
