Hunter Stewart stood strong. He came in leading the all state points and runner up in 09. HUnter also played in the last group on the golf course. Now that is pressure. The Freshman from West Jessamine had a great tourney and a great year. He played in the last group with Hunter and held up quite well. Say what you will but playing in the last two groups on the final day is the real deal and comes with the crowd and pressure. Tournament golf is all in how you handle pressure. Playing 7 or 8 groups ahead of the final group sure takes the pressure OFF! Do you agree?

Will Bishop (Dunbar) should be on everyone's list. Hager Collins and Chandler Fischer (LCA). Tyler McDaniel (Clay Co.). Cooper Musselman and Brendon Doyle (St X). All players that you could add to any list of high end competitors.

Has the KHSAA granted a waiver for atheletes in other sports? Would have to be on an individual basis ~ golf, track, archery IDK. No way they could do it in team sports, RIGHT? These two are the best with a pretty big spread. Would not be good to have tourney without them.

Not Really. We are discussing the State Tourney in BG next week. The difference is this is one of those big tourney's the kids in this state get jacked up about. The other difference is standing up on that tee box and looking at a Justin Thomas, Hunter Stewart, David Snyder, Will Bishop and many more and not Wilting ON The Vine. That's what I am talking about when I talk about the Top 10 in the STATE.

How has the 8th grader fared against the players from LCA, ST X, West Jess, David Snyder, Will Bishop, the McDaniel boys from Clay Co. ETC??

LCA will win the Boy's State Golf Tourney! Who are the 10 players that can win the State Championship as an individual???

LCA showed up. St X was Thomas-less. West Jess had big scores from the 3,4,5 spots. Course was hard and fast.

i am pretty sure Justin is exempt and can play in state as individual if the team does not make it. Last yr champ makes him exempt. Please tell me if this info is incorrect!!!

LCA has won. ST X has won. West Jess has won. All in big tourneys against each other. I still say LCA stands out in October! Question is who will take the individual honors.

Keep us posted on how the KIT is going

LCA is a runaway this year. They could wear out many D1 golf teams. ST X will not run away with second or contend for the TITLE. Lots of teams in the state will contend for 2nd. West Jess will be able to bring it this year and will contend for 2nd.
