Fantasy Trade, should I?

Featured Replies

A guy in my league has Ryan Grant and I have Brandon Jackson. He also has Ocho and I have Palmer. He wants Jackson to replace Grant and Palmer to go with Ocho. He has offered...

Joe Flacco

Wes Welker

Steve Slatton

Roy Williams

FOR

Carson Palmer

Steve Breaston

Vincent Jackson

Brandon Jackson

Welker is better then Breaston but I am not sold on Flacco.

I don't think I'd do it if I were you. Would be nice to have Welker, but Brandon Jackson will probably put up some solid numbers this year.

Who are your other RB's?

I would say no, Slaton might be a non-factor and Williams is way down the list even on his own team.

I don't really need Welker if my 1 and 2 WR would produce. Last week I started Calvin Johnson, DeSean Jackson, and Steve Breaston. Breaston got me around 15 and Johnson and Jackson combined for a about 5.

For me whats driving this trade is Flacco/Welker and Palmer/Breaston. These two would be the only starters. The other two would be reserves. Vincent Jackson might not even play this year and Brandon Jackson just isn't that good. I personally think the Pack will end up bringing in another RB.

Welker and Breaston should put up close to the same numbers. Palmer will put up more numbers then Flacco. Don't do it.

Packers may bring in another RB but Jackson is a solid everydown back. No way I do this trade cause it loads up his team and doesn't improve yours significantly

That was my main reason for leaning towards not doing it.

This is an automatic no for me. No matter how good Palmer is on the field he is still a solid fantasy back. With Grant out, Jackson could produce well.;

I'd like to see the rest of your roster, starting QB's, WR's...also, what kind of starting lineup does your league use...2 RB, 2 WR and a flex?

I'd be careful selling him short so soon. He's got a TON of upside to him this year. And there really isn't many (any) good RB's out there for them to bring in to replace him. He's got a shot at having a killer year.

Line is...

QB, 1 or 2 RB, at least 3 WR/TE, K, DST. You can go with 1 RB and 4 WR/TE, or 2 RB and 3 WR/TE. You do not have to start a TE.

Last week I started

Carson Palmer

Frank Gore

Ronnie Brown

Calvin Johnson

DeSean Jackson

Steve Breaston

Rob Bironas

49ser DST

Reserves

Matt Stafford

Marion Barber

Donald Brown

Michael Bush

Brandon Jackson

Chris Chambers

Vincent Jackson

Mario Manningham

That's also why I am leary of dumping him. He has all the opportunity to have a monster year but just not sure he has what it takes. With GB's passing game he should be able to put up big numbers. I think I will probably decline the trade and see what happens.

That was a huge hang up for me as well. I just don't like Flacco for Palmer.

Frankly, I think Flacco is as good or better than Palmer, but with the Ravens' defense ability to hold opponents' scoring down, they'll have the opportunity to stick with the rushing game much more than the Bengals and thereby limit Flacco's numbers. Palmer might end up having to pass 50 times a game much more than the Bengals would like . . . .
