I don't mind our schedule. Wayne and Barren are pretty good teams and Edmonson is a very good team and a sleeper, as for Green and there tough schedule, I ask this, how has that helped in the past? Is getting to the regional championship enough in Green Co.? Is losing in that game to teams you beat earlier in the season acceptable (see Metcalfe 2007 and Monroe 2009). I guess my point is Monroe's schedule is what it is, and for the last 2 years it’s been enough. I know Green fans really played up their schedule last year and that "tough schedule" got Green beat by 4 tds at home to a team they had previously beaten by 7, where was the benefit of the tough schedule in that game.

Noone said anything that getting to a regional title game and losing is enough. The fact about the Green/Monroe game last year was that ONE player took over the game. That one player is at WKU now and I am sure is missed in Thompkinsville. This is not a thread to be a Green/Monroe argument so don't turn it that direction. I was simply stating that Monroe's schedule so far has been horid. Wayne, Barren, and Logan are average to weaker teams in their class and Edmonson is a typical 3A team. In my opinion, 3A is the weakest of the six classes. Then you add Metcalfe and Adair which may be the worst teams in their respective classes. The last four games will tell the tale for the Falcons. My statement was simply asking what goes through the minds of athletes if they drop 4 or 3 of 4 before the beginning of the playoffs?

You do realize that Monroe has only allowed 20 points total scored against them in four games. And logan has allowed 118. They have put up 74 and Monroe has put up 124. If you know something we don't please share the knowledge!

Alan normally picks most games by one point. I don't think he meant any disrespect, he just normally picks the winner and adds, "By one".

Ok, I did not take it to heart, just wondering the reasons behind it. If you are going to root for the underdog in the race at least humor me with one reason though.....

4a Logan County (1-3) hosts the 2a Monroe County Falcons (4-0). Monroe County is coming off a sloppy win over 5a Barren County and Logan is coming off a good win over Metcalfe County.

Sorry if I took it wrong, but the way I read it you seemed to be giving reasons why Green's schedule was going to be an advantage and ours was going to hurt us. Which I disagree with, and the past would tend to support my argument. I guess hearing a Green Co. fan give advice on how to win the region is kind of like asking a blind man about the view at the Grand Cannon, both would seem uninformed and lacking insight on the subject…:idunno:
