Who wins this game and why?

I'd love to see Mercer win this game(every game except for one honestly) but I think they have completed the cupcake part of their schedule and they very well may not win more than 3 more games the rest of the year. This game likely isn't one of them. Especially if their running back, James Johnson doesn't play. I hope they win but seeing is believing. I hope they prove me wrong.

Anybody heard about the status of James Johnson? My opinion, if he doesn't play Friday he may as well sit out the following Friday.

I am hearing James Johnson is out on Friday. Had an MRI today. Does anyone want to change their vote? Anyone?

Anderson will upset Mercer

I wouldn't call it an upset if Anderson wins. I'd love to hear why people have Mercer favored. Especially if their starting rb doesn't play.

Mercer wins 17 to 14. Mercer has played well, cupcakes or not, a win is a win.

Not trying to stir things up(at least not to much), but where are all the fans that were saying Mercer was going rule 5A? After the 5A school winning the 2A title some posters were predicting big things for them. Just wondering what happened to Mercer because they don't seem to be all that competitive in 5A.

Frankly, they haven't adjusted to life without Marty Jaggers. The talent is there to win their district. They'll be fine in another year or so but everyone from the administration to the parents to the players need to buy into the program being successful and that hasn't happened yet.

 

I got a text that Johnson is out for the year. The source is a player. Still awaiting confirmation from others. Johnson had an MRI yesterday.
