ARod is the one who was/is too big of a prima dona to admit he screwed up, and I give Braden props for being man enough to not back down and call the idiot out.

I have to agree with you, not many would have the guts to call A-Rod out.

 

Also, I agree with what a lot of you are saying, having a perfect game is an incredible feat. Congrats to him on this accomplishment, that should be the main story. I don't think the Braden's are classless. He was justified.

HE kept it as a story when no one else in MLB cared about it. SHE has simply taken all of the focus off of his rare feat. I see now where HE gets it.

 

A professional doesn't run his mouth in the media. The kid's young. Hopefully, he will learn to simply handle his business vs talking about handling his business.

He got his 15 minutes and he tried to stretch it into 30 minutes with his mouth. I don't mind fiery guys. Its good for the game and its why I love Gomes. The difference is that Gomes handles any problems on the field . He doesn't wait until he's in the dugout or until he's talking to the media to break out his "I'm a tough guy" routine. Again, he had his chance while ARod was right in front of him. He got weak in the knees and pumped up his muscles behind a microphone.

You're right, that wasn't ARod belittling Braden in the media that they kept showing on ESPN for a week after the incident. That was some stand-in that just happened to look like him... ARod making a comment about not wanting to extend his 15 minutes, wasn't him keeping the story going either I guess...

They talked to Braden and his grandma on ESPN today (may have been SC) and they asked his grandma about the comment. She said something along the lines of "I shouldn't have said that it slipped out and I don't want to start anything." So she realizes that it was stupid to say but like all of us sometimes things just slip.
