What does Bethlehem need to do to improve in 2010? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Bethlehem has a new head coach and a lot of key returnees, so I would look for them to make some noise this year.

The Eagles will be okay this year as they return on offense 3 starting lineman and their top offensive threat from a year ago in Clay Owens. Look for sophmore Jordan Cooper to step in at qb. On Defense is where they will be strong as they return 7 starters. Also the Eagles will be under new guidance this year as Ron Koontz long time assistant from Bardstown steps in as the new head man..

What will they run on offense and defense for next year?

They ran a modified, run-first version of the Franklin system on offense last year. With Cooper likely stepping in at QB and Owens shifting to feature back you will probably see a little more passing than the 8-10 times a game last year they threw (but nothing crazy, as Owens need to run the ball 20-25 times a game for Bethlehem to be most effective).

On defense, I would look for it to be mostly a 4-4.

Rumors have it that the QB from last year will also be QB this year

Look for some Bethlehem HS to be a suprise team. Although they lost some very good skilled position players in Casey Robinson and Luke Wimpsett they return the majority of their offensive and defensive lines. Additionally a change on the top of the coaching staff with the departure of Torzenski and Ron Koontz from Bardstown HS being named as head coach will pay big dividends. Steve Hart has also been asked out of retirement to help run the offense. I expect this team to have a very good year.

I may be at there first game with Fort Knox.

The biggest surprise you will see is with their OL... I was a a team camp when they were there and they have come a LONG way since last year. One of their key starters, Joe Peake, finished in the top 4 out of 170 OL in a one-on-one pass blocking drill.. Dont be surprised to see him have a great year!!!!

Their line should indeed be pretty good. Very experienced bunch. If they can stay healthy, I could see the Eagles having a nice year.

It should be interesting to see if Jordan Cooper comes along as a multi-threat @ either RB or QB. After watching the kid play basketball, he brings something they are in need of and that is speed, versatility, & athleticism.
