I understand that. The freshmen list was tougher than any of them.

Clay had the top freshmen team in the region, so I thought they deserved at least one, and Smith played well in the freshmen and JV games I saw. Harlan County wouldn't have won the district without Sergent and Brewer, and they were tremendous on the JV and frosh levels and played a lot of varsity in the second half of the year.

I think you mixed Brody Freeman with Brady Foley and came up with a new player for the Hounds next year...............Brody Foley.:lol:

It looks good. There are several teams/players that are very close.

 

The only point I'll make is that Harlan beat Jackson County in McKee last year, and Harlan brings back everyone.

 

I had Jackson County 11th. It sounds like they are getting better and could break into the top 10. Our sports editor had Jackson County eighth, so he has the higher than both of us.

Jackson also brings everybody back, including their PG who was the starter as a freshman. In 2-3 years, Jackson County will edge back up the list.

It doesn't guarantee anything, but:

 

Jackson County loses one starter (center Dustin Riley).

Harlan loses no starters.

Harlan won last year at Jackson County.

It is great to see Bell Co. up on top again. (or near the top anyways)

I agree Bell should be one of the top teams next season and have a great chance of winning the region.

Have a lot of respect for Coach Morris' ability. 13th Region has several very good coaches, and he is one of them.

I was surprised to see Blaine Green ranked so high, his team only won four games and yes he did have a great scoring ablility, but great players should make their teams better. Everyone of the other 4 in the top five could make that arguement.

 

I think Whitley should have been ranked somewhat higher, although they lost three seniors, they return the core of their team. They defeated Bell, and played KC to overtime at Knox Central. Whitley does not have the tradition of the other schools but they are making progress and next season should be a breakthrough season for them.
