I agree with papagrit the secondary is going to have to step it up this season they realy hurt us in few games last season we are little bit better off this season than last we have two starters coming back in Baker and Rowe last season we had zero they were all green. Reams Causey luna and Childress are all good athelets to they will help make a diff in secondary this season.

I hope to make it to at least 2 games this year. Are any games on Saturday this year and do we scrimmage at home again?

 

The first game is Danville and I'm almost certain that is on a Saturday...not sure about the scrimmages yet. Good luck on the new job for the wife and the move.:thumb: Sorry about the long wait on the response...been out of town for the last week.

Spring ball went fairly well. Mostly workouts for the secondary as many of the starting linemen play baseball/ run track and weren't able to attend. The quarterback question will not be answered until all candidates are able to practice this next summer.

We must be behind in the QB situation. I am sure we will get a good one. had to go to Indiana and Ohio to see family. Glad to be home. Does your son still play baseball? We are not doing too hot this year on the diamond. Any info on where some of the players are going to college from last year?

Yes...he still plays...pitches tonight against Madison Southern in JV. From what I understand about the boys going to college for football, Big Thacker and Bishop are going to Campbellsville University to play. As far as baseball, Perkins is in the rotation for Western Kentucky as a pitcher and doing quite well while Bullock went to Union College but things did not work out as well. All four are good boys.

This year the baseball team is very young with two or sometimes three varsity starters being freshmen. A very young team that seems to have trouble giving up the big inning. They did beat West Jessamine this last weekend and I hear West Jess was ranked in the top ten of the state

Back to the topic of QB...I think it will solve itself in the first two weeks of football this summer.

I feel your pain papagrit will the season ever start. Maybe just a practice or 7on7 anything.

If I was mistaken about it then I stand corrected...I was pretty certain that they did. If not...who won the Whitley district? Southwestern district?:idunno: I was pretty sure that Pulaski and Southwestern were not in the same district. And Harlan County was in the Southwestern district, but got beat early in the season and revenge in the regionals.

 

Do the players enter the field coming down the bleachers? This is unique plan. Bet the players get motivated. Is the ROCK still there that they use to touch on the way to the field for years? That big rock has got to be sentimental to them.

The players still come down through the crowd and from seeing it in person this year, I can't stand it. I never played but in the four years that I was a manager, there was nothing like running through a spirit line that stretched from the back of the endzone to about midfield. I get the idea but dont like it. I did like the script "Rock" that was painted on the field. Hope they never go away from the script Rock on a white shell helmet. lol.

 

I hope to make down to Rockcastle for more than just one game this year. I will for sure be at whatever game falls in line with Northern Kentucky University's fall break...lol...that's usually the only game I get to see each year unless they make a deep run in the playoffs.

Hope you get to see more than one game this year. If not this year(chickens before they hatch)....I feel really, really good about next year. But, I'm certainly not looking past this year, they are just a little green in places and may shape up nicely.

The schedule is the same as last year except for playing Danville instead of Boyle in the Bob Allen Pigskin Classic first game of the season. All home/away games have flipped.

 

I think that there a few new kids that have moved in, but I'm not sure of the impact they will play. We will see with the first practices who pans out.
