March 24, 201016 yr Out of WVU they are saying he possibly broke this during the game against Missouri. Huggs was interviewed last night and that is what he said. I think it's a mistake to totally write WVU off because of this. NCAA tourney is not a "best of" situation, anything can happen in a single game.
March 24, 201016 yr This has to be deja vu all over again for Coach Huggins. I really hate this for this young man, and the Mountaineers basketball team.My exact thought when I first read about Bryant. This is never good for a team especially this late in the season. You know Huggins has to be thinking back to the Kmart days. It is always sad when a player goes down. As much as I did not like Huggins in his UC days I really felt bad for Kmart because I did like him as a player.

Then, he was backpedaling in practice and went down. That's what I heard from Huggins on the radio today. It didn't sound like there was any contact or anything like him landing wrong and it definitely sounds very possible that the initial injury occurred in the Mizzou game and the stress in practice just finished it off. That's a tough loss, especially to happen right now. I didn't view West Virginia's guard play as a big strength to start with, so I agree with everyone else. This is a big loss. But, at the same time, the strength of the team are those forwards and they're still there. It would be a mistake to relax just because Bryant is gone. Sometimes guys can rise to the occasion in a short-term situation.
