Go Boone! Go earn some respect for Northern Kentucky girls basketball!

Just like last year when the Holmes boys shut down the high-flying Elliott Co offense the 9th sends a team to the tourney to shut down another high-scoring offense. The 9th obviously is a defensive region.

 

If I remember correctly BG came in averaging around 80 PPG (or maybe that was just the district and region avg) and they score 40.

Bowling Green averaged just shy of 70 points a game, so yeah, they were held well below that. One major flaw in BG's team is the lack of height, and it sounds like Moss had a field day with that.

As a short guy, I have difficulty judging height. Is anyone on BG even that tall?

Once BG's press was ineffective...they were in trouble...they had Sandlin and Moss gassed midway threw the 2nd, but pulled out of it (still very close game at the time)...not sure why, but that really helped Boone.

My father has been singing Moss praises all year long. She's scary good, especially for a sophomore. Great to hear that she is playing well on the big stage.

Sounded like when they clamped her in the fourth Sandlin stepped up big time. They are a great combo.

 

She had a boatload of bunnies and just couldn't get them to fall...the defense couldn't stop her, but, they did do a much better job of rebounding to take away the easy 2nd & 3rd attempts.
