January 29, 201016 yr One thing that I think is worth mentioning in this who scenario is the basic Christian belief in the afterlife...heaven & hell. It's obvious that this guy was raised a strong Catholic, and from that you can glean that he does have a belief in the afterlife. As a Catholic myself, I can tell you that my greatest concern in my life is to get myself and those I love to heaven in the end. Even for those who don't personally share that belief, wouldn't it seem from a logical standpoint that for someone who does believe that living a good Christian life helps them get themselves to heaven might be taking a step in the right direction by entering the priesthood?
