Dean Hood is doing a magnificent job in this area the last few days!!! Gets a commit from Eric Shaw, the fullback/DE from Henry Clay(#45 I believe), an offensive tackle from Trinity(dont know his name or #) and now gets a commit last night from Anderson County QB Jacob Russell!!!

Jacob is an outstanding young man and football player. Jacob received 5A Player of the Year honors, all-state honors and many other awards. Jacob will be a huge success at EKU and could have a major impact real soon!!!

Congrats to Jacob!!!

That's Caleb Watkins, Eric Shaw, Jacob Russell and two others from Kentucky. Nice to know EKU seeks in state talent. Way to go boys, and congratulations!

Congratulations to these young men. Best of luck. I'm surprised EKU doesn't recruit in Northern Kentucky better? They're missing out on some very good players IMO.

Good to see that Coach Hood has finally gotten EKU in the hunt for in state players. For years, they did not do that. Good pickup. I had the pleasure of seeing this young man play and he is solid!

Congrats to Jake, he is a great player and a good person, he will be a great asset for Coach Hood.

Allan Fugate and Austin Delpont of Hazard also will be signing with Eastern.

Outstanding young man and a winner in everything he does. EKU just got a steal.

Pretty sure it was a full ride. Coach Hood was all over him and even came to his basketball game the other night. Jacob committed to him at the basketball game.

Very good player. I hope he does well.
