Covington Catholic wins third place in the Toyota Classic today with a victory over Lexington Paul Laurence Dunbar by a score of 51/44.

CovCath took a total of 45 shots with Thelen (12/21) and Wellbrock (6/12) taking a combined 33 of the Colonels total shots. CovCath was 1/1 (Robinson) from outside the arch.

 

Good outing considering that the CovCath team didn't get home until well after midnight this morning and had to meet at CovCath at 9:45am to play the 12:45pm game! Not much time to relax and refresh oneself after Friday night game!

 

Sort a strange to have to have this 3rd place game being played so early in the afternoon when the 5th place game is slated to play at around 2:30/3pm.

Both teams. Painful to watch that part of the game.

It's all in his head. I have watched him make 8/10 F/T after 8/10 F/T after made 8/10 F/T all day long in practice but in games........

Conner Mashinot foot/ankle was taken out of the boot last night. He was walking on it but it's still to early to say when he can come back to play.

 

Trey Evans did indeed break his arm/wrist but Trey claims that he will be back before the season is over. No reason not to believe the young man, as he seems to know whats he can do, after having broken his arm/wrist as he told me, 3 times before!

It's been a long season for Dunbar.
