Trimble County played hard and smart. Their two inside post players dominated Walton. Burns, from WV, stayed in foul trouble the entire game and basically only played a few minutes in the second half. For WV, it was a game of missed jump shots, fouling, turnovers and more turnovers. Ponzer didnt start the second half nor did he ever enter the game.

WV will need to play better on Friday and Saturday or it could be a long weekend for the Bearcats!

Walton is not going to win many or any games that Jordan Ponzer does not play in. He is by far their best player!!

I'm sure Trame realizes that his team is not very good...I'm sure ponzer was on the bench for a reason...I don't know to many coaches that like to lose..WV has a few more years of growing pains before they will get to the top tier in the 8th..I just hope Trame is around to coach than.

I believe that Ponzer played the first half and Trimble Co was leading at the half. Unless I am mistaken, they led most of the way.

Correction. WV is a very good team if they put it together and they have the potential to be a dark horse in the region!!! Don't underestimate them this year.

Walton Verona led one time in the second half by one point. Ponzer did play the first half as did Burns.

Any Stats?

I don't have official stats but I believe Burns only had 4 to 6 points. Most of their scoring was by # 42 and # 15 from the 3 point line.

Justin Webb had 19 points for Trimble.

Josh Edington, Dylan Staples, Zach Adair, Craig Ward, Ethan Turner, and Skiler Alexander all scored but I don't know how many each. I don't think I've left anyone out but I could have.

I thought that Vance Sullivan was awfully good. He was Walton's leading scorer with 9 points last night.
