Freshman Boo Crabtree scored his second straight basket to give Fairdale a 66-65 lead. Zack Davis put the Patriots back in the lead with 5.9 seconds remaining following a missed free throw by Crabtree. A last second three-point attempt by Claypool just missed to give the Patriots the 67-66 win. Claypool led all scoreres with 22 points including six three-point field goals. Morris added 18 points and 17 rebounds for the Bulldogs. Zack Davis had 18 points including the game winner and Tate Cox added 16.

Nice win for Knott, especially on Fairdale's floor. I guess this cements their status as the #2 team in the mountains.

If you weren't there last night, you missed an outstanding game by these two teams.

 

Fairdale led the whole game but KCC slowly started chipping away. With a little over a minute to go KCC took the lead. After KCC missed the front end of a one and one with them up one, Fairdale came down and got an "and one' with 13 seconds left to give them a one point lead at 66-65. The Fairdale player missed the free throw though and KCC's Davis came down and hit the game winner from the elbow of the foul line with 5.9 seconds left.

 

Great game by both teams.

 

There were some great battles and matchups the whole night between these two.
