Who is Elliott County's top 5 leading boys basketball scorers since the '70s? Please post a link for the website.

You may want to contact John Allen Stegall and ask him this question. He was the Elliott County Official score keeper from the 50's to the 80's or 90's (not sure when he retired from that position). :popcorn:

They have been since the mid 1960s, don't know before that.

Playing his senior season at Rowan County would probably knock him out of the running. He was a prolific scorer though!

I would say yes but not sure, also as you search the records check Sandy Hook High School too. They didn't become Elliott County High School until the middle 70's.

What about Chief Orb Bowling who played for Tennessee. Yea Kidd did transfer but I would say he is still on the top 5.

The Chief played for Sandy Hook back in the late 50's. Started as a 7th grader, but the only records that were kept on him was from the 10th grade on. Records were not allow to be kept on someone NOT in the tenth grade.

In Kelly Coleman's book..... he talks about his high school career and mentions Sandy Hook High being in the 15th region. His senior year was 1956.
