powerfootball
Originally posted by bargedawg Powerfootball if you dont mind I'll try one on you? Why does a Whitetail Buck Make a scrape? A Whitetail Buck makes a scrape so that he can go back and check for a doe to urinate in it. When a doe does this, the Buck then knows she is receptive and can breed that doe. Thats why hunting scrapelines are so successful for most hunters, because the Buck is bound to check it in hopes of finding a doe that is ready to be bred. redstorm
Thats true, hunting a scrapeline CAN be successful but it is sometimes trying because a lot of times the buck check these scrapelines at night.
powerfootball
Thats why I spend ALL DAY in the stand when hunting a scrapeline. If the buck is there, he's bound to show up sometime to check that scrape, and I'm more than determined to be there when he does, even it if means staying in a tree for 12+ hours....
