Slow start for the Cards, but once they got going they didn't look back. GRC is now 3-0

Talk about balance...three Cards with 20+.

GRC's size and athleticism is going to make it very tough on a lot of teams this year.

This is the first game we didn't have 4 starters in double figures. You can't key on one or two players...we have others that can burn you. This is a very unselfish team. They are always looking for their teammates. Fun group to watch.

^^^ What impresses me most about this GRC team is Daniels and Purvis combine for just 12 points after carrying the Cards the first two games and Zollo, Stenzel, and Rogers all step up with 20+ when they have an off night.

The Hawkins kid is a serious jumper! He will be tough in years to come. He out jumped Zollo at the tip off.

Nice win for GRC. I thought it would have been closer. I appreciate the updates, had hoped to go, but life got in the way. Will have to keep up with the Hawkins kid throughout the season.

Coach was bragginng on Purvis tonight after the game. He said it has been his best game this season and with only 4 points. He does so many other things.Zollo has really stepped up his game. Stenzel has always been there for us and continues his great leadership. Daniels is really coming around. Goal is to see great things for this team this year.

Hawkins had 5 points in the first half and held to 3 in the second. Just being a Freshman, he is going to be a good. one.

This team is going to be something special when March rolls around. Good win for the Cards!

Clark won its third game in a row to open the season and placed three players in double figures, led by Vinny Zollo who scored 22 points and completed a double-double with 15 rebounds. Corey Rogers added 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Clark, which dominated Central on the boards 57-34. Robbie Stenzel added 21 points and Jaylen Daniel just missed double digits with eight points. The Cardinals went on an 18-4 run to close out the half. Stenzel, who led all scorers with 15 points in the opening half, scored 11 of those in the second quarter.

Zollo and Rogers combined for 20 points in the first half. Zollo had a two-handed dunk during the decisive spree and pulled down nine rebounds in the first two quarters. Zollo added another slam in the third quarter and scored eight of Clark’s first 16 points in the second half.
