What type of team is Boone County?

West Jessamine is implementing a new coach, so I don't know how to judge this.

Boone is a very good team. They return 3/4 starters off a team that came within a lay up of knocking off Holmes last year in the Region 9 final. They have a nice balance of solid bigs and very good guard play. This team will also go 8-9 deep once everyone is healthy. May have one of the best guard tandems in the state. They will win a lot of games this year and once again challenge Holmes for the 9th region crown. They also were one of only two teams to beat Holmes last season.

Boone played flat in the first half and turned up the D and O in the second. Nice win to go to 3-0. Earls was still hurt and played only about a minute or so. Gabbard played well for Boone. Popp was big in OT for Boone. Cotton was in foul trouble but played good. Montgomery and McQueary also played well. Polson had about 13 (couple of 3s) for W. Jessamine. Not a pretty game and pretty boring in the first half, but pretty interesting in the second.

Boone was led by Gabbard's 19 and Popp's 11. Montgomery chipped in 8. Montgomery, Popp, and Gabbard had a bunch of steals.
