The joys of being a parent

Featured Replies

My wife, son and I just got back from Pigeon Forge where we stayed in a cabin for our "vacation." My son is not quite 13 months old and is a true joy. However, last night we went to bed around 11:30 after packing most of our things preparing to leave in the morning. At around 1:30 AM I was awoke by a strange sensation on my back, a continious feeling that startled me awake from my slumber. In roughly 1.3 seconds I realized what was happening and I jumped up from the bed in disbelief. My son had awoke and my wife was chaning his diaper in the bed when he decided he needed to pee again, on me.....My back was soaked in urine and I rushed to the bathroom with my wife saying, "I'm so sorry, he just went, how could he go again?"

Ah, the joys of being a parent.

Uh, I say the same about my 16 yr old

You beat me to that one! So true.

Years ago, I was trying to potty train one of my boys. That boy could hold in a poop for DAYS when he knew I was trying to get him to use the potty!

I took my kids to McDonalds and they were playing in the ball crawl. Suddenly kids started flying out of the ball crawl yelling "That boy pooped in there!" I knew immediately who "that boy" was! He could no longer hold on!

Naturally, I did the responsible thing. I pretended it was someone else's kid, looked horrified and got out of there ASAP!

:laugh: Great story, save that and remember it to threaten him with it somewhere in his teenage years. Blackmail can be a good tool. :D

Again, Great story eku. Times like that you don't get back. :thumb:
