South Oldham vs. Grant County in Crestwood.

Both teams are winless in the district (SOHS 0-2, Grant County 0-1). Both struggle offensively...who wins?

There's a lot on the line; the winner is likely to get the fourth playoff spot in District 4, while the loser will have the odds stacked against them in their quest for the post-season.

(South plays top 10 Anderson County in district play after this game; Grant has top 10 Oldham County and a very good Jtown squad in district play).

Can I get a mod to fix my poll??? I put South and JTOWN in the poll...s/b South and GRANT COUNTY BRAVES. :ohbrother:

Grant wins with a more sound Defensive philosophy, not the line up in man and Blitz everyone that South does.

Hopefully, a mod will fix my poll soon.... :isurrender:

Grant by 2 TD's, South may have packed it up.

Grant County may win this one, but in watching South against Oldham last week, I saw no surrender in the Dragons. Have to give them that. And knowing that - in all likelihood - the fourth district playoff berth is on the line in this game should motivate both teams. Can't really imagine either team "packing it in" - yet.

I have watched the Woodford Co. game and the North game, and SO looked MUCH better vs. Woodford (I am referring to the get after it attitude they displayed). From an outsider's opinion they just looked much more confident in their opener than against North. That is where I am basing my opinion. Just an observation from the stands.

I saw them against Woodford, North, Waggener, and Oldham County...they certainly had a lot of fight in them against Oldham last week, but were simply beaten by a better team. Grant isn't Oldham; these two teams are pretty closely matched, I think. I think we'll see spirited play from both clubs; the post-season may be the reward to the victors.

I was hoping a mod would change my poll to read "Grant County Braves" instead of the "Jeffersontown Chargers", but you guys all know what I meant...(just apparently, my keyboard didn't!) :D

I'm thinking South gets this win due to their running game. Gray and Nichter are two decent backs...if the South offensive line gives them enough room, I think they make enough plays to give South the win.

South 14, Grant County 7
