October 5, 200916 yr You get 2 timeouts in OT. Cincinnati called their 1st timeout after Carson ran for the 1st down with just under a minute left. That's 1 of their 2 timeouts. They called the 2nd timeout with 7 seconds left, right before they kicked the game-winning field goal. That is their 2nd, and last, timeout. The Bengals still had two timeouts left from regulation. Do those not carry over?

If what you say is correct, then I agree that the Bengals should have let the clock run all the way down to 2 or three seconds to prevent another Bronco game scenario if the kick was missed. You stated they should have run it down further in case there was a bad snap. A bad snap wouldn't have necessarily given the ball to the Browns though. :sssh:

My mistake does not change the fact that the Bengals should have waited another 3 seconds to call a timeout and prevent the possibility (albeit remote) that the Browns could get the ball back.
