I don't think that it was because they petitioned to get in I think. But I could be wrong I have been wrong before.

 

The big realignment from four to six classes came before the 2007 season. This year is the new cycle, so that's why you saw some movement, but the next major realignment won't come until after the 2010 season.

Corbin should move up to 3A based on numbers. Boyle, Corbin and Somerset in one district would be a war.

I hope Boyle does not have to step down. I do not think they are getting the respect statewide they deserve now because they are not in 5A or 6A. You will definitely hear more, "well they haven't lost but look who their playing" type stuff. I hope it isn't true.

I don't know what else you want I don't think that they can compete with Highlands, St. X or Trinity.

They can have lower numbers and play up. Highlands has a 3A enrollment and plays 5A. football. Why can't Boyle stay where they are or play up in 5A?

There has been numerous grumblings this year about how weak Boyles schedule is. Imagine the scrutiny if they were in 3A! Our non district schedule would have to include Florida, and Auburn just so people wouldnt gripe about Boyle not playing a tough schedule.

State semi's and 13-1 would be a pretty decent year to most schools!

I don't know about Florida, but a 2.5 strength of schedule. Highland is playing Ryle twice a year becouse no one else will play them. Give them a call.

I work in a retail setting and there have been numerous jobs lost around the Danville area that is a good observation. I know it has affected my business I just didn't think of how it would affect school enrollment. I know when I was at Boyle there were between 800 and 900 students. do not remember the exact number.

 

Bell County numbers are lower than that around 750.

I know Boyle and Highlands met a few years in a row a couple of seasons back. I would love for them to renew that game. Anyone recall what the records were from those two teams in those seasons. I have no clue. I do remember those games were a pretty big deal and alot of fun.
