Butler 16 Seneca 10 (OT)

Butler remains unbeaten on the season. There's a chance that could change next Friday, however.

I beleive there will be no doubt about that.

Butler has a great bunch of kids, most have started since they were freshmen and sophomores, 9 offense and 9 defense. For 2 years they played one of the best schedules in the state on all levels, that has proven very valuable. Now they have played a very weak schedule with their first competition coming the last two weeks. Butler has always been able to run the ball, but its a shame Butlers staff hasnt spent more time learning how to throw the ball, this was very eveident last night as Seneca shut the run down and Butler struggled to move the ball, 150 total yards they have no clue how to throw the ball. The talent is there to have a nice passing game but as Carmondy says " we do what we do". You can't run over the best teams in 6A, the only way you will ever compete with St. X, Trinity, Male, Manual and Ballard is be balanced on offense.

Butler is lucky to have Scott Carmony as their coach. He has returned them to respectability. Butler has never exactly been what you would call a powerhouse. If he can do this every year with the talent in Butler then he will have done a GREAT job.

I agree you need to pass when they think your going to run.

If Butler fans are happy with ther record then thats fine. It's a great start but if you want to play in Dec. you better raise your standars a little bit and try to have a complete game plan ready for whatever team you play.

don't get me wrong I'm happy for Butler but I do expect more for the talent that they have. Kepping working guys and good luck the rest of the season

I'm by no means a Butler fan. People are on here complaining about a win over Seneca. I guarentee you Seneca has more so called "talent" then Butler. People keep talking about the talent at Butler. Historically speaking has any 6A school in Louisville produced less FBS or FCS players than them? The only recent player I can think of from Butler was a punter. Butler has been playing out of their minds this year. This team had no concept of winning before he got there.
