McCreary Central comes down to earth only to win big, MC wins 42-6 over Powell Co.

Powell County is not a solid team or a quality opponent. The teams that they have lost to have a combined record of 2-15 when not playing Powell County. McCreary will win by a lot. There's no reason to pretend that they are a quality opponent any more than Pineville or Leslie County was. McCreary Central needs to beat a decent team in their class or above to prove that they are legit.

 

McCreary has beaten a quality team in Edmonson Co. 3A. #10 this week in AP Poll. Pineville is a very good 1A team. All I know they are 4-1 with a chance to go to 5-1, Don't care who they have beat. Several years ago they couldn't beat anyone, so we like our Team and we like the progress it has made. Keep on working and playing hard and we'll keep supporting you and the Coaching Staff. Maybe houseofpain is just trying to make sure that his players don't overlook Powell County. There are a few players who get on this site to see what coaches and spectators are talking about. Like I said before it is a long drive and that can affect any team. Powell shouldn't be any match for McCreary but that is why we play the games. If not we can just go by whoever wins the polls on this site. Any team has a chance to beat any other team on any Friday night.

I can tell you that the most important game for the Raiders is the one that is next on the schedule. We are not in a position to look past each Friday as they come. I can tell you right now the Raiders are 100% focused on Powell county and only Powell County! I am not saying you were saying other wise I just wanted everyone to know that we can't and won't over-look anyone! 'Vaya con Dios'!

I agree I don't think McCreary can afford to overlook anyone. They are playing for a lot, with the games remanding on the schedule. They are playing for the 1st winning record in School History. They are playing for a chance to be in Play-off for 3 years in a row. These are things important to this program, so they can't over-look anyone.:ylsuper:

If McCreary stays focused and plays like they can play they can pick the score in this one. But Powell shouldn't be overlooked. McCreary needs a good convincing win to boost them from that loss last week into district game next week.
