Ryle names the score in this one.

What kind of shape is Campbells field with all the rain we have had? Oh ya thanks for the poll.

Unlike last week when the Ryle DBs didn't get any action they will be involved in almost every play this week as CC simply does not/cannot run the ball.

Ryle D-backs will outscore the Camels. You saw it here first!

At the top of the thread Coop has the game at 7PM. I was told it was at 8PM due to CC's homecoming. (Campbell asked Ryle to start later) Can someone from Campbell confirm the time?

Why would homecoming move the game time back?

8:00 start time with the number of incomplete passes that CC will throw adds up to a late night getting home to Union for many.

Interesting situation developing at Ryle. There were 550 kids absent from school today with the flu and apparently quite a few more are going home sick. It has also affected the football team, as quite a few of the players are ill. Hopefully it will resolve itself before the game Friday, but it's not unreasonable to assume these numbers will go up even higher. Apparently with this flu, you are contagious before you even show any symptoms yourself. My wife has it and she is one sick puppy (not to imply my wife is a dog).

I must admit I find it curious that no decision was made to simply cancel school this week such as did Brossart. There were 400 kids sick yesterday and now 550 today and many more going home sick. It is obviously a very contagious flu and even worse given you can be infected with it - and contagious - without yet feeling sick yourself. So how many other kids are in school today that will be sick tomorrow and are doing no more than infecting other currently healthy kids? There are many teachers out also. Why have them teach half-empty classes and then have to re-teach the material to kids that will miss the entire week? If this was just a couple of kids, so be it. But why have 1/3 of your kids (maybe more) that will have to work double-time to get caught up on the work they missed this week? Don't understand the thinking on this one.

I just received a E-mail telling me that the CovCath vs Ryle Soccer game has been Canceled for today and will be played on Saturday, now I know why!

Ryle will be just too much for CC..42-14.

With a brother that goes to Ryle, who is currently at home sick from whatever is going around that place, I sure wish they'd figure out some type of method of trying to prevent this from spreading. It's insane how quick it spreads. It's from my brother, who was out for 3 days, to my mom who has it now...

If this continues and Ryle sees these numbers consistently in the next day or so, I'd say the school will close for the rest of the week and no football game.

Coop the only thing you won't like about this game at Campbell, is the Campbell County PA Announcer, bring earplugs!

Seriously. No doubt. I hear people mimic that guy at all games I go to.

"...and it's another Campbell County...FIRST DOWN!"

He's into it. Guess you can't knock him for that :taz:

While other schools were cancelling football games and other events to help limit spreading the various illnesses making the rounds, the Ryle admin decided not only to have the football game and parade on Friday but also to cram 600 of their kids into their cafteria Saturday night for the Homecoming Dance. Now they seem surprised that they had 550 kids and 25 teachers out sick yesterday and even more today?

From what I have heard, and I don't know if this is true, they can't cancel classes for just one school in the county but would have to call off school for the entire county to keep the schedules in sync. A classic case of government bureaucracy getting in the way of common sense.

Wow I wasn't aware they'd have to shut down the entire county not just the school in question. I could see shutting down Mann and Gray Middle as well, but not all. That's sad, and it's only going to make the situation worse.
