Not the prettiest game for the Colonels, but a good win. Some very good individual performances by some young men. Best, Connoughton, Shaefer, Gray, Erp, Daeglow

 

New Cath is tough as nails and those boys never let up.

Far too many mistakes by NCC to win this game and CovCath took advantage of those mistakes.

 

Not the best game played by CovCath today, but they won and some players learned some tough lessons.

 

NCC impressed me today, but not the play calling. Why pass when you are running the ball down your opponents throat, twice the QB gave up an Int that just killed NCC.

 

Nice game by Leo Schaeffer and that 88 yard TD run was a thing of beauty.

 

Also senior Neil Martin and Junior Troy Timmerman made some big plays for the CovCath "D" when the "D" needed big plays.

 

CovCath is now 3-3 and has the Bye this coming week!

CovCath tops NewCath

 

CovCath won for the third week in a row, 28-14, with the help of back-to-back game-changing plays in the third quarter, and beat NewCath for the fifth time in six meetings.

 

"We did not play pretty football," CovCath coach Dave Wirth said. "But a win against NewCath is a good win."

Congratulations CovCath. Sounds like a lot of sophs got in this one!

Agreed! And how good were #33 and #32 for New Cath! What a backfield duo. Very hard runners who rairly lose yardage. Also, #32 is a very good kick returner.

I don't see NewCath owning the second half of the season. I'm sorry but they could end the second half 2-2 at best very easily. Nice win for CovCath.

I keep saying its all over for the people up on that little hill ,Its time to play all 1a and 2a teams and stay there .. This should be a wildcat win but who would want to go watch this MESS ..Because NCC is a :deadhorse::deadhorse:
