Track the Braves (2nd Half- Week 11)

Featured Replies

Well, the Braves got a crucial sweep on the road, and now they get the first series against Washington. If the Braves have one thing in their favor, it's that they have seven games against Washington coming up. I don't think they can afford to lose a single one.

The Rockies are down 6-1 right now. Hope that holds.

They can not afford to lose one. Their pitching better be at it's best and they better hit the ball well, because Washington would probably LOVE to end Atlanta's chances. The Braves have to win every game against Washington and at least win the series with Florida.

The Braves are 12 games over .500 for the first time since May of 2007. If they win the opening game against Washington to go 13 over, it'll be the first time since the end of 2005.

Isn't it crazy that even if the Braves won out and finished 92-70 they could still miss the playoffs?

Hudson improves to 2-1 in 4 starts this season, going 7 innings and allowing 2 runs.

Braves sweep the Mets and have won 8 straight against them.

Some updates to keep an eye on:

Phillies lead Marlins 6-5 in the 9th

San Diego leads Colorado 6-1 in the 6th

San Fransisco and Arizona are tied 0-0 in the 2nd.

Braves currently sit 4.5 GB of the WC

I'll just say this. I am so excited with the Braves pitching during the 2nd half of this season. They have really came around and with Hudson they are just awesome. If the offense could just keep up I think we'd really have a shot at getting the WC.

The Braves have to keep winning, and if that happens I really feel like St. Louis and LA will take care of Colorado's losing part. We'll see if the Braves can keep winning. I'll believe it when I see it. They are so much better than they were last year though that it's not even funny .

Stupid Marlins...

Ah, I can handle that game more than if it were the Rockies that came back to win.

Off day for the Braves tomorrow then a 3 game series @ Washington.

Hanson, Vazquez and Lowe for the Braves in that series.

The Braves rotation is so great. Their weak spot is Derek Lowe, who is 15-9.

If they can keep this rotation together next year, they should be very good. They could probably even afford to trade Lowe, if anyone would take on his salary.

One more inning and the Padres win.

Great that the Padres won last night. Hopefully they'll win tonight as well which would put the Braves 3.5 GB heading into their series against Washington.

San Diego has came back from down 3 runs to tie it at 3-3 in the bottom of the 7th.

Come on Padres...Man if they could win this game that would be great news for the Braves.
