Surely nobody thinks 28-7 is running up the score?

 

Just the opposite. I was trying to explain something Ryan p. was asking the Ashland fans. He asked why did Ashland take out some of the starters when they were playing so well. I was trying to say. Ashland didn't want to run the score up. And get some of the other players some PT vs some good comp. My fault for not putting it on the same post.

I didn't mean to confuse everyone. I was trying to give a little credit to the Ashland coaching staff for not running up the score. And giving some of the players they will need next year some PT. I think Ashland did a good thing. And the Russell coaches will remember what the Tomcats could've done but didn't. Russell's day will come and the Tomcat coaches know that.

I don't know if you think that Ashland ran it up or not but I was listening to part of it and I can assure you they weren't. 28-7 is far from running a score up. Ashland imo if anything toned things back quite a bit.

Maybe you didn't mean that Ashland ran it up and the opposite in that they "could have" ran it up and didn't. :idunno:

I think that is exactly what he meant. Ashland did not run up the score in this game at all.

I totally agree with what you're saying, RAMS, even if I misunderstood the first time. Coach Hart seems to be a class act and I would expect no less from him. And Russell's day will come again, no doubt.

 

I probably read your post too quickly and didn't give it enough thought before I responded. That is one of the problems with this form of communication, the written word just doesn't always convey the same message you intend because its fairly monotone and it is hard to write with feeling, mood, etc.

Ashland has seen both Belfry and Russell now. Based on the scores and stats alone, I have to think Belfry is a couple touchdowns better than Russell.

 

Is that a fair assumption Ashland fans?

I would say three to four touchdowns better. Russell has no offense.
