The mighty 2a Falcons of Monroe return home in their debut against a much improved 5a Barren Co. Trojans friday night. I feel this might turn out to be closer than most will predict. The trojans, although not as good statistically as Monroe, always seem to find a good game in their arsenal against Monroe. They are very speedy and are very capable of putting some balls in the air. I still don't feel they have the team to beat the Falcons this year! I am going to call this one closer than usual...33 to 21 Monroe!

I believe this is the year the Falcons run away with this one. I predict Monroe to win 35-6.

2A Monroe County and 5A Barren County have had some close games over the years. Coach Petett on his coaching career looks to even this series with Barren County Friday night at Darrell Carter Stadium. Barren Co. has the edge at 3-2 since Coach Petett took over in 2004. Both of Coach Petett's wins have come on the road at Barren so hopefully Coach Petett can pick up his first win over Barren Co. in Tompkinsville Friday night.
