Let's all remember that Lexington Catholic is 2-1, with wins over 5A Whitley County and 5A Covington Catholic, and a loss to 6A power St. Xavier. Lone Oak is 3-0, but has beaten 1A Ballard Memorial, 2A lightweight Reidland, and a 6A school in Marshall County that is in complete rebuilding mode.

Lone Oak will be the fourth best team Lexington Catholic has played so far. I'm not guaranteeing a Knights win, but would caution against reading too much into their previous results, just as I would caution getting too excited about Lone Oak at 3-0.

You make some good points gchs. I am hopeful LO can make it a good game. They have a chance to win, but it's hard to predict this game because of the difference in opposition played to date. Reidland is probably the best team LO has played this year and that is a strange thing to say. Whatever the outcome Friday, I hope the Flash build on it for the rest of the season. Green Co. is coming up in a few weeks and that will a tough test as will Graves, Caldwell and we can't overlook Calloway despite their early troubles. I think the Oakers have a strong chance to go 9-1 or 8-2 this year and that would be a fine season. With a tougher schedule they could go further in the playoffs than the 2nd round loss they had last year. Go Flash!:ylsuper:

Great points , but you also have to take in consideration that the starters have not played a second half this year for the Oakers...In the Ballard game it was 51 - 0 early in the second qtr. Reidland gave us a little scare but it was still freshman in at halftime and we coul have hung up 100 on them if we wanted..Marshall....,,,, well lets just not say anything about them maybe the worst coached team ive seen in a while, Didnt make one adjustment all night to stop our blitz. So you really cant get a good fell for the outcome..Also you have to take into consideration that LO has nothing to loose and everything to gain. If LO looses and LC wins everybody expected it ,,but if LO wins that could give the Oakers enough for a real state run:clap:

I'll be there rooting for my Knights this Friday. Long drive so Ms. Swampthang and our friends are making an overnight roadtrip out of it. Any suggestions about non-game related activities we might enjoy

Well Swamp thang after the game downtown is a nice place to have a meal..Go to Does place fore the best steak in town, its on broadway and second i think....There is always the Casino in Illinois about 20 min. from the field... or there are several resturaunts off exit 4 some with bars..There is a place called wingstop next to Kohls off exit 4 that has pretty good wings...We are not near as big as Lexington so pretty much eat, drink be merry...Good luck this friday ...............But not too much luck:D

Thanks for the suggestions flashdaddy. Good luck to you and Lone Oak as well. I hope it's a good game and everyone comes out of it healthy before district play begins

Well said Swamp thang! Flashdaddy is right. Downtown is pretty cool. There are some museums and great restaurants. Does is good, as is Cynthia's, Tribeca and difratelli's. Whaler's Catch and Cohen's are great as well.
